Over 80 Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes across Iran overnight in the largest bombing campaign since the fighting began last Saturday. The Israeli military said the attacks targeted strategic infrastructure, including a military academy, an underground command center and a missile storage facility.
However, Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations accused both the United States and Israel of striking densely populated civilian areas, calling the actions war crimes and crimes against humanity. According to the Iranian government, more than 1,200 people have been killed and 2,000 injured since the attacks began on February 28.
